One month birthday

One month has come and gone and she continues to grow.......and cry (when not being held). She is getting bigger and bigger and soon will be graduating out of her bassinet and into her crib. Maybe then mommy and daddy can get better sleep, but I'm not holding my breath. Mom and dad are looking forward to seeing what's in store for month #2.

Seneca Park Zoo

We had a good time walking around at the zoo, even though Ashleigh slept through the whole trip, but mommy and daddy enjoyed themselves just the same.

Getting bigger!!!!

Well.......she's getting bigger. After her first doctor's visit (five days after being released from the hospital) she had gained 10oz. One week later after her second doctor's visit, she gained another 14 oz. She is now in the 90th percentile and 95th percentile in her height and weight and 75th percentile in head size. Sleep is hard to come by on some days, but we have been managing. We both can't believe that it has been almost three weeks since the arrival of little baby Ashleigh.

Ashleigh's first bath

Mom and dad had a much better night, night #2. Ashleigh had her first doctor's appointment and everything seems fine, just a little yellow hue to her, but fine. She got her first taste of Rochester weather with mom today by sitting on the back deck with one of Kris' friends, Lisa. She sat in the sun in the living room on various people's laps.......sleeping of course. Then her bath, mom said that she did well, not that squirmy. She just finished being fed by mommy and Grandpa Stewart. Sierra has been looking at her and wanting to give her kisses, but we keep Sierra off her face, she just licks her hands and feet......right now.

Ashleigh's fist taste of home life

Well........Ashleigh arrived at the Manzek household around 4pm on April Fools Day. She was immediately greeted by our dog, Sierra, and Grandma and Grandpa Stewart's dog, Calli. She swung quietly during dinner and was cooperative until after Grandma and Grandpa Stewart left.........then the fun began. Mom and dad were up until after 3:30am, she ate and ate and ate to no avail, dad was on poop patrol and burping, while mom did the feeding. Finally......she fell asleep. Mom and dad were extremely tired that next day.
