She's Here!!!!

Ashleigh arrived to us at 7:44pm in a C-Section delivery. After 10+ hours in the hospital, Ashleigh's heart rate elevated to 185 beats/minute so the doctor decided to perform a C-Section. She arrived to us weighing 9 pounds 2 ounces standing 21 1/4 inches tall. She had to spend the night in the special care nursery due to low sugar levels. The nurse said that Ashleigh should not have any problems with breastfeeding due to her always wanting to suck on her hands/thumb. The nurse was right, she clamped on Kris immediately and fed like a champ. Mom is doing well now. She is currently in some pain due to the surgery, but in good spirits. She didn't sleep very well, but that is expected. Mom's looking like a Wednesday morning discharge. More to follow soon.

P.S. Ashleigh got kicked out of the nursery Monday night.....she was only 31 hours old. That's my girl!

Well....today is the day. Baby Ashleigh will be here either today or tomorrow. Kris' water broke at 6:30 this morning and we arrived at the hospital at 8:15am. So now we'll just wait for Ashleigh to arrive.

Well....Kris' doc. says everything is A-OK. Her due date is next Thursday (4/2) and she could go at anytime now. I am consistently checking my cell phone on a minute-by-minute, hour-by-hour basis. The doctor said that if she does not deliver by Thursday, April 9th, that she will be induced. Hope all is well with everyone......chow.

Less than two weeks and counting....

Well.....we're off and running in the techno world of blogging. Kris and I were given a ton of goodies and am now in the process of finding space for it all. I was told by Linda that I need a bigger house to fit all of our new stuff, yet....she said that she wouldn't clean it if we got a bigger house....what gives? Kris is doing fine, just extremely tired. Less than two weeks to go and counting. Mom and dad are ready to go as well as Grandma Manzek and Grandma/Grandpa Stewart......not sure who's more excited. I'd say us :) Sierra knows something is up, but not sure what.

P.S. This is probably the cleanest Ashleigh's room will ever be.
